Our Programs Include:

INDIVIDUALIZED RESIDENTIAL ALTERNATIVE (IRA) HOUSING

GHO provides Individual Residential Alternative (IRA) housing for qualifying individuals.

Promoting independence by…

  • Teaching basic daily living skills
  • Encouraging residents to participate in recreational activities
  • Providing a friendly and comfor

COMMUNITY HABILITATION (CH)

Money management, travel coaching and lessons in self-care and socialization. It’s all part of GHO’s effort to promote independent living among the people we serve. The agency’s multilingual staff provides this key training to individuals in their community and within their homes. 

Helping People Reach Their Full Potential

DAY HABILITATION WITHOUT WALLS (DHWOW)

GHO’s Day Habilitation Without Walls is an innovative OPWDD program that suitably serves individuals by moving them from within typical Day Habilitation programs (“Within Walls”) and giving them more opportunities to utilize their skills in the community (“Without Walls”). 

Breaking Down Barriers….

EMPLOYMENT PROGRAMS

GHO’s Pathway to Employment program [PTE] provides people-first care, comprehensive employment planning, and support service to assist participants in finding work in the community. Our Employment Training Program [ETP] lets job-seekers with developmental disabilities participate in paid internships that lead to long term employment. Supportive Employment Program [SEMP] helps job-seekers prepare for and obtain competitive employment. Community Based Pre-Vocational Program [CBPV] enables job-seekers attain the highest level of community engagement with the goal of employment.

FAMILY SUPPORT SERVICES (FSS)

GHO believes it is vitally important that families of people with developmental disabilities receive adequate support.

Delivering Family Support

Our programs include…

  • Non-Medicaid Case Management, to coordinate services and assist individuals in obtaining Medicaid.
  • Weekend Recreation, to promote positive social interaction.
  • Family Reimbursement, financial assistance of goods and services that directly benefit individuals who reside with their family

DAY HABILITATION (DH)

Day Habilitation services assist individuals in developing socialization, living and self-help skills.
