Excellent Services for Exceptional People

Residential Services

Since 1995, GHO have been providing residential services dedicated to supporting adults with developmental disabilities in achieving independent living within their communities. Our focus is to empower individuals to lead fulfilling lives, regardless of disability-related challenges. We actively promote participation in person-centered goal development and community inclusion. Through these efforts, we strive to create meaningful opportunities for independence, social engagement, and personal growth.

IRA - 1 & 2

In 1995, GHO opened its first residential group homes, IRA 1 and IRA 2, welcoming seven residents into community‑based living environments.

The Residential group home continues to serve individuals with developmental disabilities to this day. For more than two decades, these homes have provided stability, compassion, and individualized support— empowering people to live full, meaningful lives in safe, supportive environments they proudly call home.

IRA - 3

GHO Welcoming four additional individuals into IRA 3 in 1997.

Through compassionate, adaptive support from dedicated staff, residents were empowered to build independence, confidence, and meaningful lives within their communities.

IRA - 4 & 5

In 2001, GHO continued to grow its residential programs by expanding services to welcome additional individuals into IRA 4 and IRA 5.

GHO provides 24/7 supervised Individualized Residential Alternatives (IRAs), ensuring that each person receives the consistent, compassionate care they need to thrive.

IRA - 6 & 7

GHO further expanded its residential services by opening IRA 6 and IRA 7 in 2017 to support males with developmental disabilities who were aging out of residential schools.

These homes were designed to help individuals transition successfully back into their communities, providing stability, personalized support, and guidance as they build independence and establish meaningful lives beyond school‑based care.

IRA - 8 & 9

GHO broadened its supports to serve female individuals aging out of residential schools through IRA 8 and IRA 9 since 2019.

Our staff are highly trained to support individuals with medical and/or behavioral needs, providing personalized assistance and appropriate levels of supervision both in the home and throughout the community. Through this continuous, compassionate support, GHO fosters safe, nurturing environments where individuals are empowered to live with dignity, stability, and greater independence within their communities.

IRA - 10 & 11

GHO continues its mission by serving more aging out individuals from residential schools through IRA 10 and IRA 11.

GHO encourages meaningful community activities and promotes full community inclusion, supporting individuals in building relationships, exploring interests, and living fulfilling lives. Our residential managers work closely with each individual’s Care Manager to seek the most appropriate day services based on personal interests, strengths, and functional levels. Whether through day habilitation programs or employment services, GHO ensures each individual has access to opportunities that promote growth, purpose, and meaningful engagement within the community.
